How buying from us works
- Tell us what you want. Riding, a child's first pony, or a shaggy farm companion.
- Meet the animal. Come see it, handle it and ask questions.
- Ask your questions. Age, training, health, temperament and feed.
- Decide when ready. No pressure. A good match matters more than a fast sale.
Before you buy any large animal
- See the animal in person, more than once if you can.
- Ask for the age, training, health history and how it behaves with new people.
- Ask what feed it eats and how much. Most horses should eat about 2 percent of their body weight in hay each day.
- Have your own veterinarian do a pre-purchase exam. It is not a pass or fail test. It gives you information to decide.
- Plan for safe fencing, shelter, water and regular hoof care.
