A petting zoo birthday party children remember

Gentle farm animals at your party, with an adult in charge of the animals the whole time. Simple for you, magical for the kids.

Why families choose a petting zoo party

Children are close to animals for a short, happy time. They pet a pony, brush a miniature Highland cow, and take turns feeding. Parents get a calm, outdoor activity that needs very little setup.

How we make it easy

  • We arrive early and set up before guests come.
  • We tell you where to put the guests and the entrance.
  • We stay with the animals and keep them comfortable.
  • We help children learn how to touch gently.

Tips for a smooth party

  1. Pick a flat spot with shade. A yard, a park shelter or a barn floor.
  2. Set up a hand washing spot. Soap and water if you can. Children should wash after touching animals.
  3. Keep cake and drinks away. Eat in a separate area, then visit the animals.
  4. Keep strollers and toys outside the animal area.
  5. Plan one adult per few children. Little ones should have an adult next to them.
Hand washing matters

Public health guidance says to wash hands after touching animals or anything in their area, and again when leaving. Food and drinks stay out of the animal area.

Questions

Good questions, plain answers

What ages is a petting zoo birthday good for?

Toddlers through grade-school children love it. Very young children need an adult right beside them, and we keep the pace calm.

How long does a visit last?

We plan the length with you based on the number of guests and the animals. Tell us the party schedule and we will fit around it.

Can we feed the animals?

Yes, with approved animal feed, so the animals only get food that is right for them. Please keep your own food and drinks away from the animals.

Do I need a lot of space?

You need a flat, safe area where guests can move without crowding the animals. A yard, a park shelter or a barn floor often works. Tell us what you have.
